Concept
The concept for this sculpturesque wire chair came from internationally renowned designer Alfredo Häberli, who created it as an eye-catching feature for the Rockefeller Dining Room in the Haus Konstruktiv museum in Zurich. Having been made more comfortable with the addition of seat and back cushions, the chair is now available as part of the Girsberger collection.
With its graphically linear frame made of sculpted steel wire, the "Alambre" chair is a statement piece which works equally well on its own or in a group. It is suitable for use in dining rooms, meeting rooms, lounges or waiting areas. Its soft and relaxed seat and back cushions make it extremely comfortable yet are quickly and easily removed. Before being officially introduced into the Girsberger collection the chair was on prominent display in the Rockefeller Dining Room in the Haus Konstruktiv museum in Zurich. It is now available from Girsberger with a matt anthracite grey frame, while the collection includes a wide range of cover materials for the cushions.
"Alambre" is available with or without armrests and has comfortable padded seat and back cushions.
