Adobe | Mattoni fatti a mano

The Adobe bricks are handmade bricks made from clay, silt, sand and hemp fibers.

Adobe are used for fillings and lining of vertical and horizontal surfaces, for walling and partitions of indoor environments.

They can be left exposed or plastered with Matteo Brioni clay plasters.

Adobe, like all bricks made of earth, are not load-bearing. They are particularly appropriate as thermal stabilizers for trombe walls and they are an excellent regulator of indoor humidity.

Adobe bricks are made in three different densities: light, semi-heavy and heavy.

The standard sizes of the Adobe bricks are:

- light brick 30x16x5,5 cm

- semi-heavy brick 28x14,5x5,5 cm

- heavy brick 28x14,5x5,5 cm

As they are handmade, it is possible to produce custom sizes on request as well.
