THE COLOGNE CONNECTION

Headlining the spring tranche of the international-trade-fair calendar is, as ever, imm cologne – which has long performed the role of trend barometer, as much as new-product showcase.

Its 2018 edition sees the theme of digitalisation take centre-stage, with services like digital lead-tracking and route guidance operating alongside digitally oriented fair content, such the Smart Home installation in Hall 7.

It's all part of a digital push by imm cologne to extend the physical fair's relevance beyond a week in January, becoming a business-driven, year-round platform for connecting exhibiting brands with professional clients.

IN A PERFECT LIGHT: DAS HAUS 2018

Following Sebastain Herkner in 2016 and Todd Bracher in 2017, Lucie Koldova is the Guest of Honour of the largest design event of imm cologne 2018: the Czech designer will make it possible for “Das Haus - Interiors on Stage” to radiate brilliantly with different "Light Levels". The idea behind her concept: an endless number of moods can be created with light, from inspiring scenarios through lighting for purposes of representation to light for relaxation and looking after oneself.
