About rvb
MORE ABOUT RVB

Belgian Taps manufacturer since 1935, rvb® set out to create, design and manufacture high-quality taps to meet the expectations and needs of your bathrooms and kitchens.
rvb® is a unique brand with a strong identity and more than 80 years of history in innovation and excellence.
All our products are manufactured in our workshops in Brussels, with high quality standards.

History
rvb® is family company with an history characterized by innovation and excellence.
Gaston Van Bastelaere, creative entrepreneur, set up a faucet workshop in Brussels in 1935: rvb®. Technician by training, always ahead of his time, he developed a number of innovative valve systems with unique and patented stop mechanisms, gaining an immediate recognition from professionals for the technical perfection of his faucets.
Following the unexpected death of the founder in 1967, 2 of his collaborators pursued his work, as expressively requested by him. They launched new collections for collectivities and hospitals. By meeting the highest requirements, the products of rvb® became the classics of the sector, which are now found in renowned hotel complexes.
In 2004, a third generation of entrepreneurs came on board. Alain Gillieaux took over rvb®, after a successful career in another industrial sector, and gave the company a fresh start. True to the DNA of the brand and to its high quality standards, he fundamentally reviewed the common organization of the company, calling on the best specialists in marketing, design and production. Through continuing investments, the company is now one of the best actors in the sector.

Innovation and Design
Honoring the tradition of quality and innovation of rvb®, our engineers and designers constantly push back the limits of imagination, combining strategic innovations and award winning designs. We attach great importance to the creation of faucets with a distinctive personality and we give pre-eminence to innovative forms which are compatible with the latest technologies that we master and develop every day.
It is not surprising to find in our selection the architect-designer Alain Berteau who embodies the new Belgian creative impulse and Flamant who, indifferent to fashion, proposes a resolutely modern take on comfort, elegance and originality in the house. Recently, Christian Van Suetendael and Gert Van den Steen of the Antwerp based Architecture and design practice Co.Studio have drawn the very exclusive and original collection Andrew. For 2016, the British and internationally renowned designer Terence Woodgate conceived the collection Line, in a typical rvb® style; very dynamic and intuitive.
All our new creations uphold a very visible philosophy: a tradition of perfection beyond styles. The greatest architects, decorators and interior designers have understood this and frequently call upon our competences to equip prestigious hotels, public buildings and private homes across the world.

R&D and technology
In our Brussels workshop, we master the creation of our faucets from the first sketch all the way to industrial production where we enforce without compromise our high quality controls, which result from decades of experience and testing in real-life conditions.
The most recent industrial technologies, associated with the exceptional know-how of the brand’s craftsmen, guarantee the excellence of our products. Passionate about our work, we do not compromise with either our requirements or those of our clients. The rigorous selection of quality materials like solid brass and the obsessive care we take with the finishing of our faucets are at the source of their quality, robustness and durability.
The creativity of our engineers is also a key factor which, in cooperation with companies who share our values, brings new ideas and solutions. Faucets with progressive opening, linear movement or even security systems like the Safety Security Lock (SSL) for the concealed thermostatic versions are only but a few examples.

Production
After several moves in Brussels, rvb® has built a new plant there in 2013 to respond to his growing needs. The chosen location of the building is in accordance with the growing internationalization of the brand. The Research & Development department, the production unit and the administrative and commercial departments have been brought together in this new building, with a showroom in where all the collections are shown. This location is accessible for professionals and clients.
Since 2014, we operate from this new building, for which we have called on the best production processes where the essential know-how of the artisans is combined with the latest industrial technologies. The growing demands of the models drawn by designers require levels of precision which can only be reached by CNC machines.
Only the best materials are used in our production process whether we’re talking about massive brass, surface treatment in chrome or gold, natural stones etc. A hi-level production and an irreproachable quality are inevitably shaped by passionate specialists.

Sustainable development
Our research and development department is dedicated to conceiving and fabricating faucets which are ever more resilient and respective of the environment. Ahead of the current growing awareness, the eco-friendly aspect has always been on our agenda. Our sustainable development approach is based on saving water and energy through the use of flow reduction technology and, to a greater extent, to the use of materials which can be indefinitely recycled such as copper alloys.
The quality faucets offer a strong added value in terms of decoration, ergonomics and cost savings. They embody the character of a place and hint at the owner’s temperament. Therefore, we hope that the many collections offered in this publication, genuine bible of styles and nuances, will guide you in this important choice.
