Established in 1990, Original BTC designs and manufactures innovative and classic lighting suitable for both traditional and contemporary homes. With designs inspired by the clean lines of traditional British factory fittings and iconic 1940s design, each light is hand assembled in Oxford, UK.

Quality, detail and an interesting mix of materials are integral to BTC’s designs and appeal. Lights are crafted from the finest aluminium, chrome and bone china and made distinctive with contrasting bases, shades and cotton braided flex.

It is the neat and unfussy designs of Original BTC which make them so popular at home and abroad, with both trade and retail clients.

DAVEY LIGHTING

With roots dating back to the shipyards of 19th Century London, Davey Lighting combines industrial design, traditional craftsmanship and the finest raw materials. Authentic and unique, lights are manufactured in England with the same attention to detail required for their original industrial purpose. From castings and spinnings to specialist engineering work, all components are made by hand by small specialist UK suppliers according to centuries old tradition.

Simplicity of design and choice of finish, including weathered brass and copper, polished aluminium, galvanised cast iron and shot blasted cast iron make Davey lights equally suited to traditional or contemporary schemes. Davey’s interior and exterior pendants, wall and step lights-many of which date back over 100 years-are now easily accessible through Original BTC.

BEADLIGHT

Beadlight is a British LED lighting specialist that has been at the forefront of LED lighting technology since its beginnings, designing the first ever low heat, low power LED reading light for commercial aircraft in 1997. Acquired by the Original BTC group in 2012, Beadlight continues to design, engineer and manufacture superior reading lights using this unique diffusion system.

Beadlight combines its pedigree of electronic engineering excellence and impeccable eco credentials with Original BTC’s design and manufacturing expertise. Having principally supplied interior designers, hotels, bars, restaurants, cruise ships and airlines, Beadlight has launched Beadlight Collections, a new range of task lights for the home and office. Distinctive and elegant in design, the collections offer the ultimate in British-made LED wall, floor and table lights for residential and commercial interiors. There is also a collection of bed head lights offering the perfect solution to night time reading, with a light source so concentrated the rest of the room will remain in darkness.
