MORE ABOUT KRISTALIA

Kristalia was founded in 1994 by young local entrepreneurs joined by two common passions: design and jazz. At present, Kristalia srl is composed of and led by people who are motivated and highly involved in the development plans. Strategies analysed by the owners are implemented only after they are presented to the entire staff. This constant search for a team spirit, a spirit in which to take as many challenges as possible, creates enthusiasm and dedication.
The company is nestled in the green countryside of north-eastern Italy in an area traditionally active in this sector; this strong bond is reflected in production that privileges environmentally friendly solutions and strives to create highly recyclable products. Renovations on the company’s headquarters were completed in October 2005 with the addition of a new showrooms area: a large open space in which the new engineering office was created. Engineering and sales personnel are also trained in this area, a truly informative place considered a communications platform and inspirational site.
Right from the very start, Kristalia paid special attention to innovative projects, by means of experimentation and the continuing search for new technical solutions, and using materials which they adapted from the fields of fashion and sports. In the autumn of 1995, Kristalia presents its first catalogue to the commercial network. The intended target for the first products was a middle-aged consumer, oriented towards contemporary furnishing, in the upper-middle economic range and with the need to find reassuring tastes and details, bound to tradition, in the things he or she purchases. Starting from the end of the 90's, with the creation of a definitive company organization, the desire arose to pursue a new path, and to go after young customers who were not necessarily bound to tradition, offering a product with aesthetic and qualitative characteristics especially close to contemporary Italian design.
Today Kristalia offers a vast collection of top design products (tables, chairs, seating systems, office armchairs, stools, complementary furnishing items and lights), which have a simple line and are easy to position, gaining great success in the contract sector. In fact, more and more offices and professional studios choose Kristalia products to furnish their areas. With its highly successful results to date, in April 2008, Kristalia will present its first contract furnishings catalogue of carefully selected products, intended to meet the furnishing requirements of architects and interior designers. Consequently, the home and contract furnishings sectors are established.
The company’s best sellers include the “Sushi” table by Bartoli Design in all variations; the “Boum” chair by Monica Graffeo, winner of the Young&Design 2003 award; the “Face” chair designed by Luca Nichetto; “BCN” stool, designed by Harry&Camila, winner of the 2008 Good Design Award. The latest major achievement sees Kristalia supply the furnishings of the new offices of Triennale Design Museum which have been inaugurated during the 2010 Milan Furniture Fair.
