COMPAC, 40 YEARS OF HISTORY.

COMPAC is the leading company in Spain marketing high quality decorative surfaces. Founded in 1975, it was the first Spanish company to specialise in the manufacture and distribution of marble and quartz surface coverings.

Today, COMPAC is a large multinational with 100% Spanish capital that has learned how to grow while preserving the flexibility and independent decision-making spirit of a family-owned corporation.With a team of over 300 professionals, COMPAC's competitive difference is its specialisation in producing Engineered Stone. This advanced production method improves the physical and chemical characteristics of natural minerals and sustains the international leadership of COMPAC in the manufacture and distribution of technological marble and quartz.

COMPAC has two industrial production plants totalling an annual production capacity of 4.5 million square metres of surface coverings. Marble manufacturing is concentrated at the modern production centre in Real de Gandía (Valencia, Spain), whereas quartz production is undertaken at the COMPAC plant in Portugal, in the town of Abrantes.A total of 75% of COMPAC's production is earmarked for export. Over the last decade the firm has undertaken significant logistical investments via proprietary warehouses in Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the UK and the USA, together with a network of 250 dealers on all continents.

The 40th Anniversary of COMPAC marks the recognition of a company history that includes their forward-looking entrepreneurial spirit and an ongoing avant-garde focus. In these four decades, the company has conquered the international market with premium quality products that are well differentiated from the competition thanks to their finishes, colours and trend-setting concepts. COMPAC was the first company to introduce large-scale formats only 10mm thick, to launch worktops in daring colours like apple, fuchsia, orange and passion, and also to unveil the very first Absolut Blanc surface. All these innovations were the result of years of research and important investments in R&D&I. The latest new products presented this year, the AMA and New York Collections and the Glacé finish, are COMPAC's homage to its 40th anniversary, dedicated to all customers past and present. These products have revolutionised interior design for both private clients and contract customers searching for exteriors, wall coverings and floor coverings to create unique, landmark projects. Over the company's 40 years of history a solid environmental policy has always been in place, to implement sustainable processes and compensate for CO₂ emissions during production. In this respect, COMPAC was the first company in Spain to set up a water recovery and reuse plant, and it also introduced ongoing power efficiency measures while providing reforestation for 30,000 trees on its land in Portugal
