The name Anour is derived from the founder, architect Arash Nourinejad, and in short means light in Farsi.

The Danish designer founded Anour in 2007 and has since then created lamps of uncompromising design, visionary functionality and exquisite materials of high quality.

Anour combines the knowledge of craftmanship from generations of Danish design traditions with the latest LED technology. This gives the customer a product that stands the test of time, a lamp that only becomes more beautiful over the years.

This approach to sustainability is innovative and focus on creating lights suitable for lasting a lifetime.

The original A_light pendant was introduced in November 2012. Due to the clean and timeless design it quickly became a best selling product. Since then the collection has been increased with two new pendants; the three and four armed lamps together with the wall mounted gallery light.

Anour’s collection of lamps called A_light are handmade light fixtures in iron, aluminium, brass and copper, and are all crafted by one of the last remaining braziers in Denmark. The latest addition from Anour is the desk lamp that will be presented here at the Salone del Mobile 2014.
