FLORIM releases it's 17th sustainability statement

Florim presents the 17th edition of its annual report, which from this year takes on a new title: “Sustainability Statement”. The change anticipates the adoption of the new ESRS standards introduced by the European CSRD. This marks a continuation of the pioneering path that began back in 2008—now renewed with a clearer, more comparable, and forward-looking approach.

“We’ve faced another year filled with uncertainty [...], yet despite that, we achieved the industrial and sustainability goals we had set for ourselves,” writes President Claudio Lucchese in his letter to stakeholders, expressing his gratitude to employees and reaffirming the strength of a long-term vision even in the most challenging times.
On the investment front (over €300 million in the last five years) 2024 saw the completion of a major renovation project at the Fiorano Modenese site (Plant 1) and the start of an upgrade of the FLORIM Gallery, which has become a cultural landmark in the ceramic district over the years. The company also strengthened its global presence with the opening of a new Flagship Store in London and a revamped showroom in Milan. The 2025 expansion plan is already underway, with new locations inaugurated in Rome and Los Angeles, soon to be followed by Seoul.
Since 2011, Florim has invested €74 million in sustainability-focused projects, including approximately €10 million in 2024 alone.
On the environmental front, the company continues to invest in tangible projects related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, packaging innovation, and circular economy practices. Years of dedicated research have positioned Florim as a unique benchmark in environmental responsibility, as reflected by its data, certifications, and industry recognition.
Social commitment also continues, with the fifth edition of the Master in Florim program, a wide range of welfare initiatives, and the launch of a new internal training platform. Florim also maintains strong ties with the local community through the work of the Ing. Giovanni Lucchese Foundation and the Health and Training Center.
The Statement also outlines the company’s upcoming goals, which will shape the next steps on its path toward sustainable growth.
With an innate passion for beauty and design, Florim has been producing ceramic surfaces for over 60 years to meet the needs of construction, architecture, and interior design. Led by Claudio Lucchese, son of founder Eng. Giovanni Lucchese, the company is deeply rooted in the Italian ceramics district and today stands as an international trendsetter in the industry.
In 2024, the group’s brands achieved a turnover of €416 million. With cutting-edge production facilities, commercial branches, and partnerships across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, as well as Flagship Stores in key global design and architecture capitals (including Milan, New York, Moscow, Singapore, Frankfurt, London, Abu Dhabi, Rome and Los Angeles) Florim has a strong global presence. A strategy focused on quality, innovation, and sustainability combines with creativity and the dedication of its people to transform the recognized value of “Made in Italy” into MADE IN FLORIM. After changing its articles of association and becoming a Benefit Corporation, Florim achieved B Corp Certification in 2020. Since 2022, the company has also been a member of Altagamma, the foundation that brings together Italy’s leading companies recognized worldwide as ambassadors of Italian lifestyle and excellence. | www.florim.com
