Light+ Building 2016
Like a stage, a panoramic picture of the alpine world of Glarus frames the stand at the trade fair Light+ Building in Frankfurt 2016. The snow-covered mountains of Glarus, heavily pixelated and coloured by the Zurich graphic design studio NORM, become the identity of the Swiss light brand. Delicate white steel tubes on a white pedestal characterise the scenery on the ground. The whole picture is reminiscent of an abstract landscape. The sky is formed by a frame covered with white fabric, which reflects the intense light of the standing lamps downwards from above. The result is a surreal scenery, charged with radiant light in front of a picture of the landscape in which context the lamps are produced.

Swissbau 2014
The exhibition of Schätti Leuchten at the Swissbau fair in Basel presents the entire collection (design by jörg boner productdesign) on a bright stand made from birch plywood. The light of the lamps falls onto the top edge of the conically shaped floor pedestals of various sizes. The cone shape of the pedestals in sectional view depicts the light flow, translating it into geometric bodies. All relevant technical data relating to the light performance of the lamps are communicated in a text displayed on the plywood boards. Just like the individual products in the Schätti collection the presentation communicates the formal qualities as much as the technical light data. The presentation was given the Swissbau Gold Award for the best fair.

Designers’ Saturday 2014
Visitors are welcomed by a large luminescent cylinder. The exhibition of the collection Schätti Leuchten illuminates the interior of a large cylindrical object. The shell, made from extremely thin Tyvek, functions as diffusor. Residual light penetrates outward and illuminates the immediate surroundings of the luminescent cylinder. The Schätti lamps on the inside act as a single, large light source. They exhibit the textile production machines enclosed by the cylinder. Visitors enter and leave via a set of stairs. The change in altitude results in a topographical adventure. The spatial experience offers visitors an overview of the whole collection. The presentation was given the Designers' Saturday Gold Award.

Designers’ Saturday 2012
The project is situated in a pocket of space whose boundaries present an image of the mountains of Glarus. In the background we see the Martinsloch, an aperture in the mountainous silhouette through which sunshine floods in as it does every year in spring and autumn. In a sense the narrow valley of Glarus has been transported to Langenthal. And the topic is light, here as well as there. The visitor is subtly guided deep into the valley of Glarus and back out again. Two lamps are shown, both displaying impressive and simple design. Delicate white reflectors in various positions and dimensions emphasise the light, allowing it to come into its own. The awarding panel was particularly persuaded by the fact that such a consistent and decisive presentation can be achieved with just a few precise gestures and entirely without technical gadgetry.
