Drekka is simultaneously a coffee and tea shop, a feel-good place to have a cup of really good coffee, and an invaluable source of information on coffee-culture. It is accommodated by a small space with large windows overlooking a quiet street very few meters from the bustle of Slaveikov Square in Sofia. The space consists of two functional parts - one is the bar where the drinks are prepared, and the other part is the large marble table room, where workshops for coffee making and various social events are organized. All design elements in the space, and the materials chosen for them, are a reaction to the objects and rituals it shelters. They are also an attempt to ensure visibility, communicativeness and rich sensory experience.
