Konzept

“A family of tables with a softly irregular and smooth shape. Not simply an exercise of scale, but several personalities in order to sit down formally or casually depending on the occasion. The strong and harsh graphic sign similar to woven Tweed contrasts with the silhouette of the table top.”

Garcia Cumini

The Tweed table range is distinguished by its organic and irregular shape, characterised by a sophisticated surface processing of the material, which becomes its distinctive decorative feature. The collection has been supplemented with an unprecedented version: Tweed Marble with a Striato Olimpico white marble top with marked horizontal grey veins. This particular item in the collection retains the original concept unchanged: to design with the natural veins of the material- originally wood and these days marble- in order to create a graphic sign in keeping with the diagonal line that separates the top in two, imitating a leaf.

A reinforced frame with tapered tubular steel legs and an MDF underframe supports the two streaked marble slabs which have been placed specifically to ensure the veins align to form a diamond pattern in a highly precise and high-impact specular game that brings out the properties of the material.

The smooth shapes are functional to facilitate interaction and communication around the table and the two irregular table designs are devised to accommodate several diners and meet various space requirements.
