This lighting fixture’s aim is to provide both ambient and functional reading light. The adaptable orientation of the reflector allows the user to direct light at a book without overly illuminating the surrounding surfaces. The wide band forming the lamp’s body allows for the emission of soft atmospheric lighting if aimed at a nearby wall. It is available in two distinct versions, the heavy-duty hotel version and the energy-efficient home version, meant to bring light to one’s bedroom.

About the designers:

The multi award-winning design studio Kaschkasch was founded in 2011 by the German duo consisting of Florian Kallus and Sebastian Schneider. Kaschkasch specialises in lighting and furniture design, as well as teaching the future generations of designers. The creative duo’s philosophy relies heavily on immaculate presentation and attention to minute details, plainly visible to the consumer presented with a perfectly finished minimalistic end-product.
