The turkish Collection takes up the tradition of the divan or "Turkish bed", and unites it with present-day trends in sofas. The "Turk" was formerly a sofa comprising a large seat with cushions that rested directly against the wall. In the Turkish Collection, the wall is replaced by a backrest which backs onto the seat, and can even act as a partition to close off an area, creating a zone or territory for siting. The sets are formed from simple, independent backrest/seat that lets users modify the original layout. The range is highly versatile in terms of the measurments of the backrests and seats, and is then rounded off with large cushions and a high quality carpet "floor" which increases the sense of cosiness.
