Switzerland
Our first teamwork as designers started by building tree houses and contraptions in our neighbourhood when we were kids. Afteron, we followed different scholarships leading to mechanics for one and decoration for the other, but still keeping in touch and being good friends all along. Later on, we quite randomly converged to the the same interest and fascination for product design having a good arts school nearby our home village on the lake of Geneva coast. This study experience gave us both the urge to be able to make a living out of our growing passion. After realising that our unlike roots could become our major skill, we quite naturally decided to open our design studio together in 2007, once we were settled in Lausanne, working part time as design and technology teachers in the same University we studied in: the ECAL school (University of Art of Lausanne) and the rest of our time designing products for several brands such as Ligne Roset, Cinna, Roche Bobois, Droog, Etain et Prestige amongst others. So here we are now at the age of 32, in a dream that became true : Two good old friends "completely complementary", inventing, drawing, imagining, constructing and designing things that we hope will bring some fun, pleasure and comfort to use for us as much as for others !
