With offices in Milan and New York, Lissoni & Partners possesses a close to forty-year history in developing international projects in the fields of architecture, landscape, interior, product and graphic design, as well as handling the art direction for a range of prestigious companies. Led by Piero Lissoni, the studio adopts a tailored approach to each intervention, bringing together a broad range of expertise and establishing a stylistic code and a visual identity that are clearly and instantly recognizeable. Inspired by a sense of rigor and simplicity, the work of the studio is distinguished by a close regard to detail, coherence and elegance, as well as by scrupulous attention to proportion and harmony. Piero Lissoni is creative director for Alpi, Boffi, Living Divani, Lualdi, Porro and Sanlorenzo, for which companies he also designs an extensive range of products. Recognized as one of the masters of contemporary design, he has worked with many international brands including Alessi, Atlas Concorde, B&B Italia, Bonacina1889, Cappellini, Cassina, De Padova, Fantini, Fendi Casa, Flos, Fritz Hansen, Glas Italia, Golran, illycaffè, Kartell, Knoll, Nerosicilia, Olivari, RBM MORE, Roda, Salvatori, Tecno and Viccarbe. Organised around different fields of intervention, the practice comprises Lissoni Casal Ribeiro for masterplans, landscape design and architecture, Lissoni Associati for interior design and fit-outs, Lissoni Design for art direction and product design and Lissoni Graphx for graphic design, visual communication and brand identity, while Lissoni Architecture New York develops architecture and interior design projects for the American continent. Some of the most important architecture and interior projects deserving of mention include the new headquarters of Banca Ifis in Rome (2024), AP House for Audemars Piguet (2024), the Dorothea Hotel Autograph Collection for Marriott International in Budapest (2023), the AKA hotels in New York and Alexandria, Virginia (2023), an exclusive area inside the NCL Norwegian Prima cruise ship entitled The Haven (2022), the Shangri-La Shougang Park in Beijing (2021) realized for the 2022 winter Olympics, The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Miami Beach (2020), the Grand Park Hotel in Rovinj, Croatia (2019), the restyling of the historic Camparino in Galleria Bar in Milan (2019), The Middle House for the Swire Hotels Group in Shanghai (2018), the residential projects One Paraiso and Grand Paraiso in Miami (2018), The Oberoi Al Zorah Beach Resort Ajman in the UAE (2017), the interiors of a series of yachts for Sanlorenzo (2017-2023), the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam (2012) and the renovation of the historic Teatro Nazionale in Milan (2009), in addition to the corporate headquarters for companies such as Boffi, Glas Italia, Fantini, Living Divani and the shipyards of Sanlorenzo in La Spezia and Ameglia. Ongoing projects include a large mixed-use complex (commercial and residential) in Budapest, the expansion of The Oberoi Al Zorah Beach Resort in Ajman, luxury hotels in Spalato and Mumbai, as well as the interiors for SLS Red Sea, which forms part of The Red Sea Project, an ambitious venture to develop ultra-luxury, carbon-neutral islands in Saudi Arabia. On the American continent, the practice is developing a range of residential projects such as the Four Seasons Private Residences Lake Austin in Texas, the Oakridge Residences in Vancouver and the Arborea Itaim in Sao Paulo, in addition to a resort in Turks and Caicos and a hotel with residences in Mexico. There are also many ongoing, high-level private residential projects worldwide, from Cyprus to Shanghai and from Miami to San Francisco. Piero Lissoni’s interest in the art world has brought him to design a range of temporary exhibitions, including the retrospective of the photographer Giovanni Gastel at the Palazzo della Ragione in Milan, curated by Germano Celant, and the anthology dedicated to the Renaissance painter “Bernardino Luini e i suoi Figli” at the Palazzo Reale, also in Milan. In 2020 he realized the exhibition design for “Giovanni Gastel. The People I like.” at the MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome and subsequently reshown at the Triennale in Milan. From 2018 to 2023, Lissoni & Partners was a supporting member of the Fondazione Palazzo Te, a partnership that began with the exhibition design, graphics and catalogue for “Tiziano/Gerhard Richter. Il Cielo sulla Terra”, followed by the exhibition design for “Giulio Romano: Arte e Desiderio” in 2019, “Venere Divina. Armonia sulla Terra” in 2021 and “Mantova: l’Arte di vivere” in 2022, the latter also including realization of the visual communications. From 2015 to 2019 the Studio worked with the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum in Milan, designing the temporary exhibitions room and a series of fit-outs and becoming an institutional partner of the house museum in 2017. Piero Lissoni has received a series of international awards, including the Compasso d’Oro Career Award, two Compasso d'Oro ADI, the Good Design Award and the Red Dot Award. From 2017 to 2022 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, and from 2014 to 2021 he served on the Advisory Board at the Politecnico di Milano.
