Stand By Sofa is a sofa that stands out for its aesthetics suitable for open spaces, and offers a space where you can exchange information, phone calls and prepare documents in absolute peace and privacy. Aesthetics and function, by adding side and back panels, change completely: from a traditional waiting and contract sofa, it becomes a protected place surrounded by soundproofed panels covered in coordinated fabric, for a more secluded working environment and for greater privacy.
The sofa is available for one or two people with a 4-leg tubular steel frame, with a chrome or black or white painted finish. The internal structure of the seat, backrest and armrests are made of plywood panels. The padding is in flexible polyurethane and the fabric upholstery can be plain or with a combination of two colours. A memory foam layer is added to the seat padding to increase comfort.
Side and rear panels can be attached to the 2-seater sofa to create insulated spaces with excellent sound and visual protection. The cold foamed polyurethane resin panels have an internal structure in self-supporting steel, covered with a thin padding, upholstered with fabric. The document holder accessory is available in folded metal sheet, painted white or black.

Founded in 1973 as ‘Studio Favaretto’, it has developed, starting from the 80s , a long experience in Italy and abroad, cementing long-term relationships with leading production companies, and together with them it led the whole process of industrialization for most of the projects receiving several awards for the same. Ability in the application of materials, precision design and research for innovation, form and function , always characterized the approach of ‘Favaretto & Partners’. The technical competencies gleaned over decades and the ever-present passion for experimentation have enabled the practice to work successfully and with versatility in different manufacturing sectors, from telephones to furnishings (seating, lighting, upholstered ) to medical and household objects. In particular ‘Favaretto & Partners’ has specialized in the planning, prototyping and production of office furniture, technical seating (task and executive) and collective systems, introducing, in certain cases, design languages embraced by other designers and manufacturers. ‘Favaretto & Partners’ actively supports and adheres to the principles of “Design for All”, a declaration accepted by the European Commission and promoted by the I.I.D.D. (Italian Institute Design Disability today DFA Italia). The declaration encourages disability-proof design practices which aim to make objects and environments accessible and functional to the widest possible range of users. Some of the most important awards received: Recommendation for the Compasso D'oro, Design Index ADI, Good Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, German Design Award, Iconic Awards, Interior Innovation Award, Young Design Award, Grandesign Etico, Biennial of Industrial Design-Ljubljana, Office Design, Institute of Business Designers Award.
