Konzept
Philippe Bestenheider puts his name to a collection of fine, elegant vases for Driade. A tall vase, a medium vase and a table centre cup, with sophisticated matt white, matt black and gold finishes.
“The shape of the GEAR vases is a play on geometry, based on the shape of gears.
The same gear shape crosses vertically and horizontally, to create the three-dimensional surface of these vases. Put together, these containers mesh perfectly, like the gears in a mechanism”.
Porcelain vases in four versions:
1- matt white outside and glossy white inside 2- matt black outside and glossy black inside 3- matt blue outside and glossy red inside
4- glossy gold outside and glossy black inside.

Der 1971 im schweizerischen Sion geborene Philippe Bestenheider machte 1998 einen Abschluss in Architektur an der ETH Zürich bevor er Industriedesign an der Mailänder Domus Academy studierte. Dort lehrte er auch mehrere Jahre. Nach seinem Master im Jahr 2000 arbeitete er fünf Jahre in dem Designbüro von Patricia Urquiola. 2006 nahm er an der Ausstellung Promosedia teil und gründete 2007 sein eigenes Studio für Produktdesign und Architektur in Mailand und Crans-Montana. Im Juni 2010 erhielt er den Italienischen Innovationspreis “premio dei premi“ für den Stuhl Nanook, den er für Moroso entworfen hat. Zu seinen Kunden zählen Firmen wie Moroso, deSede, Pallucco, Fratelli Boffi , Varaschin, Frag, Area Declic und Galleria Nilufar.
