Soundscapes sculpted by insects …
After meandering through the Natural Science Museum, Mut Studio became inspired by the exhibition rooms dedicated to entomology and their terrifying showcases of insects. Their own bug, however, would be beautiful and harmless.
Their new project for Sancal starts with the need to resolve the uncomfortable problem of background noise, overcoming the difficult balance between sound dissipation and decoration.
The sound-absorbing panels are textile sculptures that oversize the perfect specimen of a beetle.
By carefully combining the product’s 6 panels, Sancal has created 12 different Beetle variants. As for the finishes, a variety of textile combinations are available using references from swatch cards: Stitch*, Galaxy and Atlantic. The stand is made of oak wood and can be tinted in any of the colours in our chart.

MUT ist von Alberto Sanchez gegründet und ist von einer multidisziplinären Arbeitsgruppe zusammengestellt. Mut ist ein Studio und ist auch eine Herausgeberin, wer seinen Prinzipen auf dem emotionalen Design gründet. Dieses Studio entsteht mit der Prämisse des Experimentierens und dem standhaften Wiederaufwerfen der Objekte des täglichen Gebrauchs. Ein Siegel, das in jedem der Projekte reflektiert wird, die von diesem rastlosen Atelier entwickeln. Der unabhängige Charakter von Mut, hat es in diesem Studio erlaubt, sich in eine Ikone des Designs zu verwandeln, der nach seiner gewöhnlichen Gegenwart in internationalen Messen, es schon Grenzen überwindet. Mut, Laboratorium der Ideen in standhaftem Aufkochen.
