Friso Bench

The Friso is a subtle but complex modern form drawn from the archives of Baker Furniture. With Scandanavian and Asian elements, the design is open, sculptural, and almost graphic. Every rail either tapers, curves, or changes shape. At the same time, every joint is largely hidden in a compound or pegged miter. Walnut with custom cast brass ferrules.

It is unusual for a small item to have such a dramatic and sophisticated shape. More than an accent, this is a functional seat. The design lends itself to being used in pairs, and it is equally at home in a window or at the foot of a bed. As a single bench in a small space, like a foyer or hallway, it makes a big statement.
