From 1973 technical manager of Kartell, in charge of the development of projects of furniture and plastic laboratory equipments. Awarded with the "Compasso d'oro" for "Lola" lamp and "Metropoli" lamp, by Luceplan; "Createur de l'année 1999" Paris, Salon du Meuble, Bundespreis Produktdesign 2000-01 with Vitra's Meda chair. In 2005 Hon Royal Designer for Industry RSA London. Several exibitions, among others at "Triennale di Milano", "Design Gallery" in Tokyo, at Binnen Amsterdam and in Paris during Salon du Meuble. Since 1994 MoMA NY includes in its permanent collection: "Light light" chair, "Soft light" chair, "Longframe" by Alias and "On-Off" lamp by Luceplan. He works and lives in Milan.
