100% Design ® Sophie Mutevelian. London Design Festival 2016

BRENTRANCE

The UK may have decided to jump ship when it comes to the EU – leaving the British creative industries, among other sectors, in a somewhat lugubrious mood, as they're forced to countenance an uncertain future – but the show must go on. Literally.

This year's London Design Festival is back with its established big-top exhibitions such as 100% Design and Designjunction, with Super Brands and Tent now appearing under the ultra-literal banner London Design Fair. Throw in site-specific architectural installations, exhibitions, talks and workshops across the city, and you've got a gathering that attempts to reflect the British capital's status as the international creative hub par excellence.

Our tips: comfortable shoes, the V&A Museum's Ove Arup retrospective (engineers do it with precision!), and the Global Design Forum (also at the V&A) – if you can get a ticket.
Be inspired!
