Padlab is the partnership of Dan Gottlieb and Penny Herscovitch. Our Los Angeles based studio creates new materials, installations, lighting, and architectural glass. A materials-based process drives our research and design. Dan graduated from the Yale School of Architecture with an M.Arch, and Penny graduated from Yale University, Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Architecture, both in 2003. While running Padlab, both partners maintain an involvement in architecture and a commitment to education: Penny does writing and research for Morphosis Architects, and both partners teach Lighting and Environmental Design studios at Art Center College of Design.
