The Swedish design trio Front has designed a lounge chair which combines comfort and design sophistication,. HIDEOUT has a square steam-bent solid beech structure and is enriched by a large and comfortable seat which is upholstered like the central part of the backrest. A wide embrace, ascending upwards with woven cane parts, defining the rounded profile of the armrests, which protrude over the seat. An enveloping and intimate space, recreated through the unique elegance of HIDEOUT.
Konsep
The HIDEOUT LOVESEAT two-seater sofa is a result of the creative minds of the Swedish duo Front. The sofa recalls the lounge chair with the same name that is one of the icons of the brand and shares the same technical and aesthetic features. An unprecedented reinterpretation of the ancient and prestigious technique of bentwood, it is perfectly suited to refined lounges. The enveloping structure creates a cosy atmosphere for moments of privacy even in the most crowded environments thanks to the large solid bentwood beech backrest. On the sides, two woven cane walls enclose the seat, framing the central backrest that can be customised with different types of upholstery.

Profile Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren are the members of the Swedish design group Front. Their works are based on common discussions, explorations and experiments and they collaborate in all projects from initial ideas to the final product. Front’s design objects often communicate a story to the observer about the design process, about the material it is made of or about conventions within the design field. In their work they have assigned part of the making of design to animals, computers or machines. They have made a constantly changing interior, created objects with explosions, robotic furniture and a range of furniture inspired by their fascination with magic.
