After graduating in furniture design from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London in 1983, Paul Brooks collaborated on various projects before going it alone in 1988 as a specialist in office furniture and swivel chairs. Brooks has received various awards for his designs, including the FIRA Ergonomics Excellence Award, and was chosen as “UK Designer of the Year” at the 2008 Mixology furniture event in London. Today, he lives and works in Kehl (Germany) near Strasbourg.
