Speaker wall socket porcelain

This switch series is made of the material that accompanied electrification from the very beginning: porcelain. This was not for aesthetic reasons, but for functional ones: Porcelain is puncture and tracking resistant, resistant to aging and of extraordinary hardness, it survives fire and heat undamaged. The high-quality quartz porcelain (C 110) used here complies with the standard for material properties according to DIN VDE 0335, Part 3. It comes from Schierschnitz in Thuringia, where electrotechnical porcelain has been produced since 1913.
