Nemea is a seating collection, recalling the idea of classic gracefulness shaped by time and history. Plywood seat and backrest with solid ash wood or American walnut legs and die-cast aluminium frame. The armrests allow the seating to be leaned on the table and lifted off the floor.
Konsep
Athletic agility- Nemea is a collection of classically-shaped seatings, whose visible, light structural elements seem to be smoothed by time, like findings from the Ancient Greece. The side chair seems to extend into an athletic pose, with its sinuous legs in solid ash grafted to the die-casted aluminium frame placed under the plywood seat. The version with arms can be leant on the table.

CMP is an acronym of Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo, the three founders and friends who gave birth to the studio in 2009. All three come from a university experience at the Milan Polytechnic extremely fertile in ideas, due to the happy circumstance of a human environment full of positive and creative relationships. The distinctive feature of all CMP's works could be identified in the materialization of visual connections between objects of the past, objects of popular culture and natural elements. The latter are the basic ingredients of each project, which are then combined by intuition, and simplified through the three-way dialogue, to produce simple and timeless concepts.
