Oyama lantern

The Oyama lanterns could have originated in ancient Japan, but they are actually small masterpieces of contemporary handcrafting. For years a small manufacturer has been making these little pieces of wire art for Lambert. Sturdy metal wires are cut to the desired length and soldered together one by one to create this little work of art. To give the surface its elegant finish, it is galvanized with nickel plating. The Oyama lantern should not be exposed to the elements for any length of time, as the nickel plating will otherwise become stained and unsightly and the soldering points holding the metal wires together could corrode. Candlewax can be removed with warm water. Sharp objects and abrasive sponges will scratch the surface and should not be used.
