Konsep
The enthusiasm for glass as traditional material lives on at Filumen as we present another lamp- the HON. Its hexagonal shape fascinated back in the day as a decorative element in Asia, as well as in Europe in the 1920s Art Deco. The colour and shape of the HON are reminiscent of wax and honey, whose liquid properties correspond to the flow of glass. For the HON, the viscous material is mouth-blown into an angular shape, creating a thick-walled body that gives the elaborate craftsmanship a powerful expression. Suspended in a set, this lamp is ideal for structuring or accentuating room heights. The pendant lamp HON is presented individually and as a group.

Germany
After studying ceramic art for several years - including a lengthy spell in Japan - Finke studied beaux arts at the UdK Berlin focusing on the interface between the applied and fine arts. Since 1999 Christian Finke's work has concentrated on interior lighting. His approach is that of a sculptor cum architect working within carefully restrained boundaries. There is always a keen interest in the intrinsic character of the materials used and the play of contrasts which they produce. Christian Finke works in Berlin since 1995.
