Big

Conceived almost as an architectural component, Big is a metal bookcase made of sturdy extruded

aluminum uprights forming a “T” section and shelves in metal sheet, presenting a visually prominent front

edge that gives the appearance of masonry shelves. The matt white finish accentuates this impression as

it is highly reminiscent of brickwork stripped back to plaster and whitewashed. The pronounced and welldelineated

shapes make this a multifunctional object that can fit equally well into a modern, hi-tech, classic

or historical environment.
