Trioli is a versatile design by Eero Aarnio. It’s a chair for toddlers, and, turned upside-down, it becomes a chair with a higher seat for bigger children.
Laid down on its curved front, it changes into a rocking horse.
Three types of use united in a single product give children three different ways of seeing and interpreting the same object.

Nominated for the Copasso d'Oro: Chair First
In 2000, Magis presented Air-Chair, the first chair in the world to be made in one piece with the gas-moulding technique.
In 2006, after several years of research and prototyping, Magis brought out Chair First, where excellent design is combined with technological innovation, marking another ‘first’ in gas-moulding (hence the name First): the emptying of the frame is not simply applied to the volumes with a small tubular section, but all throughout the extensive and complex volumes of the seat and backrest.

Nominated for the Compasso d'Oro: Strpied Collection
Generally speaking, the more a wooden chair ages, the more beautiful it gets. Aging adds character. For a plastic chair, on the other hand, the more it s ages, the uglier it gets. Its value decreases.
For the Striped collection, Magis wanted to use a special kind of plastic, a transparent polyamide, that is very expensive, fifteen euros per kilo, in order to obtain a chair that would stand the test of time. That would actually acquire expressive quality with the passing of time.
In the design phase we took the high cost into consideration, and tried to use the material in a parsimonious way, in a play of solids and voids.
