West Coast
Auditorium seating from Poltrona Frau Group Contract Division, Designed by Richard Meier & Partners Architects
Product description
Concept
Designed for the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, West Coast combines the rigid wooden shell, a rigorous approach reflected in the formal side design solution – as may be noted in the profiles –, and soft seating cushioning.
Specification: Structure features wooden back and sides resting directly on floor. Wooden underseat cover. Nondeformable fireproof polyurethane padding. Seat may be reclined by gravity mechanism (includes noise-damping nylon joints). Foldaway writing top may be fitted within sides. Pelle Frau® Leather Color System, fabric or velvet covering, entirely handcrafted. Row-installation by means of foldaway metal plates painted with epoxypowders, positioned inside the sides.
