Compact yet remarkably comfortable, Serener’s Wendela chair blends simplicity of form with sophistication of materials and an old-meets-new design approach. The thin, flexible seat of layered beech wood, created from a mold originally produced in the 1950s, sits upon a contemporary aluminum base. The visible connection between the seat and base is a reference to the joinery used in traditional carpentry.
Wendela is lightweight, and works in addition to indoors, outdoors as well. It is now available in two heights: chair or barstool. For both, the aluminum base comes in matte white or matte black. For the chair only, the base is also available in anodized gold. Choose a darker or lighter stain for the beech seat. All color combinations work well together. Go for a uniform look or mix it up!
