In terms of the Ligne Roset collection, this graceful apartment desk complements the TANIS desk (1954 / 2008), also by Pierre Paulin, offering an entirely different functional and aesthetic viewpoint. The femininity of URSULINE acts as a counterpoint to the virility of TANIS, with its uncompromising right angles and the severity of its walnut / black finish: the austerity of Ursuline’s cross-shaped base does nothing to detract from the softness of the curves of the desktop
end-pieces, and the effect of the latter in combination with the luminosity of the white lacquer. TANIS’ two closed drawers give place, in the case of URSULINE, to an arrangement of storage niches.
Work surface, storage niches and edging in MDF, finished in either lacquer or veneer. Cross-shaped base in lacquered tubular steel. Available in two finishes: top and edging in walnut veneer / storage niches and frame in matt satin-finish brown lacquer, or work surface in matt satin-finish white lacquer / edging, storage niches and frame in matt satin-finish white lacquer.
