With the Univers series, the designer Wolf Udo Wagner is firstly targeting garden-owners looking for responsively versatile furniture, and secondly providing an attractive option for planners, architects, and general contract business. The idea: Univers is a system based on a module designed for multifaceted and omnilateral concatenation. This means that (as with other concatenatable furniture systems) seating landscapes of any desired size and configuration can be created. One of the things that is special about it is this: besides numerous classical configurations, vertical, stepped seating landscapes can be formed. Rather like the steps at Montmartre in Paris or next to the museum cube in Stuttgart: people can then seat themselves on several different levels. Typical applications include catering, event planning, trade fairs, hotels, on cruise ships, corporate furnishings, in the club scene, and of course in your garden.
