‘‘The inspiration for the shell of this armchair sprang from a game with a bit of paper. Cut out like a stylised little paper person, the ‘arms’ (armrests) and ‘skirt’ folded forwards – the shell of the armchair was already complete in terms of its basic structure. From a two-dimensions surface came, with just three simple folds, a three-dimensional form’’.

The plastic shell carries the upholstered sections, which nestle beautifully within it and, in formal terms, take on a slight wedge shape. Tapering to the front, they give the chair its light appearance, without compromising on comfort The stitching emphasises the contours and gives the chair its concise, succinct lines.

Construction: shell in moulded polyester resin, available in matt black or matt white. Rotating base in brilliant-chromed steel.
Comfort: seat and back cushions in polyurethane Bultex foam.
Covers: smooth cover with comfort layer between seat and back section. Removable once detached from shell. Well-chosen fabrics, microfibres and leathers are ideal.
