Following the basis of his famous TMM floor lamp, created in 1961, and with the idea of creating a lamp which could be hoisted upward like a flag on a mast, Miguel Milá designed this desk version, substituting wood for metal with a cylindrical shaft.
The simplicity of the standard TMM is applied to this table lamp. Had it been made of wood it would have seemed clumsier, so Milá opted for metal and maintained the idea of a shade which would be like a flag on a mast.
The shaft consists of a solid iron bar, finished in satin nickel, which is supported on a circular base of the same material. The shade is raised and lowered by means of rubber stoppers. A simple flick of the cord is enough to turn the lamp on and off. A metal washer in the shaft takes and directs the cable, integrating it in the lamp.
