The name Tatami is quite unusual for a wardrobe but it can be explained with the use of the Igusa grass fibers as covering for the sliding doors. Igusa is a kind of grass usually used to cover the exterior part of the Japanese tatami, since it is a natural and ecological material, antibacterical and it can also absorb the humidity of the air.
