Sunniva Upholstery fabric by FANNY ARONSEN

Sunniva, a vibrant upholstery textile with a fashionable look is made from a blend of several materials with yarns structured in different ways. It combines the durability of wool with the exclusive expression of linen. The different materials give the fabric an intriguing appearance: from a distance it appears unicoloured, but as you get nearer, its surface comes alive, revealing different nuances.

Sunniva features a basket weave construction: the warp is made from shiny linen and viscose, the weft from matt wool. Inspired by the timeless elegance in fashion, Fanny Aronsen has created a chic colour scale to complement the soft and natural character of the textile. The fabric comes in 12 contemporary colourways, with each consisting of 2 shades. It includes elegant, natural tones of snow white, grey and brown alongside subtle pastel tints like powder pink, warm yellow and pale green.

Hardwearing Sunniva fits into any modern interior. Thanks to its composition and appearance, it works well with both matt and shiny fabrics. Like all FANNYARONSEN textiles, it combines innovation, subtle intuition and premium quality materials, while offering infinite possibilities for mixing and matching with the rest of the collection. It combines particularly well with the linen curtains Flora and Kosmos and the velvet textile Harald.

Fanny Aronsen is renowned for her tactile, subtly opulent fabrics and intriguing, colourful designs. The juxtaposition of her Scandinavian heritage and international experience is a theme often reflected in her work. Clues to her Nordic history and cultural background can often be found in her designs but, ultimately, her work transcends all borders.

Now working from her studio in Stockholm, Fanny Aronsen has lived and worked in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam for many years. She is a Professor in Textile Design at the renowned Konstfack –University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm.

Fanny Aronsen has received several awards for her designs, including the German Rote Punkt, the Swedish Utmärkt Svensk Form and the Dutch Mobila Innovative Prijs and Goed Industrieel Ontwerp.
