This simple wooden chair is an exercise in marrying the character of individual, hand-produced designs with the processes of mass-production. Each Standard Unique chair is made from a sum of irregular parts. Numerous variations of these are produced to mimic the qualities of hand-cut wood, each varies slightly in their shape. The points at which these meet are standardised, enabling easy construction between the different elements. Each chair is built from a random selection of parts — creating the unique character of the chairs.
