SPOON conveys a neat impression, yet is extremely comfortable to sit in. The generous seat gives a sense of being pleasantly enclosed, with support for the arms. The rear side of the back is covered in a textile. The chair’s lines are accentuated by piping in a reflective material. The shape and choice of material bring sport and movement to mind.

“The overall shape was originally inspired by Japanese spoons, hence the name SPOON,” explains Monica. “From there the associations move on to oriental cooking, lightness, energy, speed and wellbeing,” says Monica.

“When I think about a commission, I borrow aspects from other worlds, bringing them together in ‘our’ world. Here I’ve combined sport, health, functionalism and modern activities like yoga and pilates. A light easy chair that reflects the age we live in, with the focus on people’s entire well-being,” says Monica Förster of her latest piece of furniture for OFFECCT.

SPOON is suitable for public and home environments. Several chairs with a table make an ideal seating arrangement for a small meeting, although SPOON also works well alone in a reading corner or in front of the TV. Despite its organically austere shape, it has a gentle expression, enabling other furniture with straight lines to act as a tasteful complement.

SPOON is made of moulded wood laminate with cold-foam filling. Support in chrome steel rod.
