softwall | natural brown paper

Architectural systems from molo, Designed by Stephanie Forsythe, Todd MacAllen

Product description

Concept

softwall + softblock is a modular system of flexible space partitions. Elements are made from paper or textile and come in various heights and colours. Their honeycomb geometry and pleated structure, while visually striking, also offers acoustic absorption. Each piece connects by magnetic end panels—making it possible to create endless lengths of walls, or stack and link blocks to shape entire environments.

A sustainable alternative to traditional methods of partitioning space, each softwall + softblock is 99% air, expanding one hundred times beyond its compressed form. Flexible and portable, the system offers the potential to spontaneously reshape living and working environments that grow and move with changing needs. Dynamic use of space is an inherently sustainable practice, and when paired with softwall + softblock’s recycled and recyclable materials, the system makes a healthy, environmentally-conscious solution.

Recognized for its elegant design and innovation, softwall is held in the New York Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection.
