With its radically reduced design and exclusive features, the SML family has established itself as a company trademark. Now, the versatile, modular system is also available in LED technology.

The LED version is the perfect complement for the successful SML line. Compared to halogen, conventional light bulbs or fluorescent bulbs the tiny diodes require less energy for the same light output, and also have a much longer service life, withstand vibration well and also produce much less heat. As using SML LED involves low operating and maintenance costs, it is ideal for commercial use and a purchase of large numbers.

In close collaboration with light- and electrical engineers, serien.lighting has succeeded in inte- grating this profitable technology into a classic company product. Given the small size of the series, a powerful cooling system had to be developed, which is essential to the long product life of LEDs. In keeping with the high quality of the SML line, the components used for our LED circuit boards and power modules were selected according to strict criteria.

Depending on the application area, the LED version can also be fitted with different glass for dif- ferent light qualities. The light emitted by SML LED is pleasant and in its brilliance comparable tothe quality of halogen bulbs. Moreover, it is free of ultraviolet and infra-red radiation. This makes SML LED suitable for lighting paintings. The light intensity can be infinitely regulated via a standard dimmer.

The entire line can be employed wherever flexible lighting is desired coupled with a uniform design language and low operating and maintenance costs. As it emits very little warmth SML LED is also an excellent choice for use in bathroom, kitchen or service areas. SML LED is avai- lable in three versions: small, medium and large.
