SKATE is an extremely refined and versatile sectional waiting system for the home and for business use. It is a system of pieces that, joined together by the small table linking elements form wide curves in public spaces; it is also a system of individual free-standing pieces in the case of more secluded, intimate spaces, as the designer underlines: “Skate is a gesture, a silhouette of a seated person. The sides of the chair stand on the floor. There is a strong visual sign at the height of the knees, which transmits protection, making you think of a private and intimate space. Lightness and transparency underline the formal gesture. Skate is the ice-skate that spins around the chairs, and it is also the idea for the table”. The structure of the chairs is foam, while the small tables have powder-painted steel bases and the top in two variants in tempered glass.
