SCALE picks up on the customary grids and concepts within architecture, then transposes them to the floor. “A one-of-its-kind tool is being made available that does greater justice to architectural room formats and emphasises them more strongly than before. In the process, the 50x50 cm standard is no longer the yardstick for all tiles to meet but merely the starting point,” says Johannes Schulte, CEO at Vorwerk Carpets. Accordingly, with SCALE there are also tiles in 60x60 cm, 100x100 cm and half or quarter-formats (50x100 cm and 25x100 cm) alongside the standard format. Together all of these sizes constitute a construction kit of shapes for countless, individually styled floor tilings.
