Bright gleaming light, shimmering light and reflections, this was how the Saturno luminaire originally developed by Staff in the 60s conjured up a comfortable, agreeable atmosphere. Fresh life is now being breathed back into this success story. It can be used individually or in groups, as a pendant, desk, lounge, wall-mounted or free-standing luminaire – a total of five versions are available. One of its distinctive features is its many individual chrome rings which merge into each other seamlessly. Light from the luminaire unit cascades over the gleaming rings and sparkles against hard metal. this is why the Saturno range can be used for effective accent lighting in both private living spaces and public buildings. Because of the lighting technology they use, these luminaires can be used to stage an extremely wide variety of lighting effects. Like all the other versions, the wall-mounted luminaire is switchable and dimmable, it also has an uplight for brightening walls and ceilings and a downlight for brightening walls and the floor. The table and pendant luminaires are fitted with a frosted plastic panel for glare control. The free-standing luminaire can be used as a reading light and, thanks to its integral uplight with an indirect lighting component, it can also be used to obtain highly atmospheric room light shows.
