Optimal Use of Space
The low weight of the S 160, S 170 and S 180 chairs – ranging from 6.5 to 9.5 kg depending on the design – guarantees time-efficient and safe assembly in large halls, lecture theatres and churches. The chairs’ slim shape allows closely arranged rows, resulting in an optimal use of space. They can be stacked vertically, thus needing less storage space. Stacking, moving and storing are facilitated by the products’ low weight and easy handling.

Designs, Materials and Application Areas
The S 160, S 170 and S 180 series are available in various designs: with or without armrests and with or without upholstery. Since the seat cushions are set into the frame, the upholstered version also has a low stacking height. The S 180 sled frame is made of chromed steel tubing and the seat shell is made of plastic. The series also includes two designs with a moulded wood seat: one with a low backrest (S 182) and one with a high backrest (S 184). Both the wooden and the plastic designs are available with upholstered seats and backrests, which not only provides additional comfort but also contributes to excellent acoustics.

In time for the Orgatec trade fair, Gebrüder T 1819’s popular chair families S 160, S 170 and S 180 are sporting a new look: the plastic shells of the chair series for open-plan seating are now offered in an exciting and ingeniously interacting colour spectrum that span the spectrum between red and blue: eight shades were selected that can be arbitrarily combined and always form a harmonious unity. The Frankenberg based company thus establishes a unique and new concept in the market for creative furnishing in the contract segment.

For architects and planners, the new colour spectrum opens up entirely new possibilities for individualised design of conference rooms, cafeterias or other event venues: it allows for the creation of entirely calm or suspenseful and dynamic looks depending on the choice of the colour arrangement. For example, the gradient from light to dark colours within one hue provides a rather dignified spatial atmosphere. Different combinations of four or more colours would match a more modern interior design theme. Changing gradients or interchanging colour fields can be set up, and the design of each room can always be altered.

New variety for contract seating
For the special demands of open-plan seating, with this concept Gebrüder T 1819 offers a colour palette that has an effect without being “too colourful”. For the offered spectrum from red to blue, the colour collection of RAL Gmbh, RAL Design, was used: the eight colours were selected from a total of 1,625 possible hues. To facilitate the selection, Gebrüder T 1819 offers its customers assistance through individual colour consultation. In addition, it is possible to get individual colours combined upon request.
