PP 76 | Chinese Table by PP Møbler

Designer Hans J. Wegner
Year 1978
Architonic id 1002926

The table was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1947 for Johannes Hansens Møbelsnedkeri. PP Møbler resumed the production of PP 76 in 1991. The table's point of departure is traditional, but Wegner strips it of anything superfluous. The Chinese Table is therefore completely in line with Wegner's philosophy, where modernist ideas of strict coherence between form and function meet classic craftsmanship. The joint between frame and leg is the table's most conspicuous classic feature.

As all other Wegner tables, PP 76 is available with a leaf (except PP 85, which has a solid tabletop). PP 76 B has a milling. The Chinese table is primarily made for Wegner's Chinese Chairs, PP 56 and PP 66, but can easily be combined with other Wegner chairs.

The table is available in lacquered mahogany or cherry wood.
