OFFECCT is looking to increase its range of flexible seating furniture, and therefore commissioned Eero Koivisto to develop and design a new modular sofa for meeting-places. The result was PLAYBACK, a sofa to which each individual can add their own personal touch thanks to the loose back cushions.

“I wanted to create a piece of seating furniture that enabled architects and interior designers complete freedom to compose and adapt it to their own ideals. Despite the austere lines and quite strict linear shape, the variation and the rounded cushions make it a soft, playful and comfortable piece,” Eero Koivisto explains.

The sofa is readily adaptable thanks to loose, moveable back cushions attached using Velcro. The elements themselves are the very feature of this furniture.

The PLAYBACK sofa system is available as a straight seating module, a corner module and an angled sofa.

Frame in wood. Seat and back in cold foam with flameproof fibre. Fixed upholstery in fabric or leather. Chromed legs.
