The PICK_UP container system is equipped with intelligent PICK_UP-mechanics to make it possible to load and unload CDs and DVDs very smoothly into or from the compartments. This is achieved by holding each single CD or DVD with guide rails, so that it can slide individually inside the compartment. Thus the PICK_UP-mechanics work rather simply: when a CD or DVD is tapped on, the foam plastic catapult on the container’s rear inner side provides a feed motion of ca. 2–3 cm, and the convenient unloading can take place.
With its 8 compartments the container is designed for 112 CDs or 56 DVDs and equipped with intelligent PICK_UP-mechanics. The measures of the container’s box are laid-out to hold 14 CDs or 7 DVDs per compartment, whereas the choice of which compartment to utilize is completely userdefined.
The concept for the container system sticks to the idea of holding each single CD or DVD with guide rails, warranting compact storage as well as easy loading and unloading. This is supported by the unique PICK_UP-mechanics.
By structural separation of container and guide rail plates an individual utilisation is made possible. If the guide rail plates are not used, the container can also be used for other objects – such as books or collection items.
The container system’s design is simple: the corpus is made from 6 mm aluminium sandwich plate by DOLUFLEX, which is joined invisibly on all sides and thereby makes an impact of elegance. The aluminium’s optical characteristics make PICK_UP an ideal combination with all HiFi and TV equipment.
